The University of Iowa Athletic Department is one of the most respected athletic programs in the nation. Since July 1998, the Iowa City area has been able to enjoy the Coral Ridge Mall located just off I-80 in Coralville. Discover a bounty of shops including anchors such as Best Buy, Sears, Dillard's, JCPenny, Younkers, Scheel's Sports, and Target.

The mall also contains an Olympic size ice rink,10 screen movie theater, and food court that seats 700 people.

Area Entertainment

First rate entertainment is not limited to sporting events or movies at the mall.  Hancher Auditorium presents many fine shows each year, and has hosted numerous world premiers in music and dance.

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is one of the largest university-owned hospitals in North America. Consistently recognized as one of the best hospitals in the United States, it is a tremendous asset to the community. First rate health care is just minutes away, and as one of the largest employers in the area, UIHC offers exciting and challenging careers to thousands of area residents.

In addition to UIHC, Iowa City also has Mercy Hospital which has been in Iowa City since 1873 and offers a full range of services.
